The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed the landscape of commerce, with e-payment systems playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of online shopping. This study explores the usage and impact of e-payment mechanisms on the sustainable growth of online shopping, specifically in the context of Coimbatore City. The research examines various factors influencing consumer adoption of e-payment systems, such as convenience, security, user awareness, and technological accessibility. It also investigates how e-payments contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing paper usage and enabling more efficient transaction processing. The findings indicate a growing preference for digital transactions among Coimbatore’s urban population, supported by increasing smartphone penetration and government initiatives promoting a cashless economy. This project provides insights into consumer behavior, challenges faced in e-payment adoption, and recommendations for enhancing digital infrastructure to support sustainable e-commerce growth in emerging urban centers like Coimbatore.
