Abstract

Psychological well-being plays a significant role in the academic and personal development of students with visual impairment. Social support received from family, peers, and educational institutions contributes positively to students’ confidence and adjustment. The present study examines the mediating role of psychological well-being in the relationship between social support and self-efficacy among visually impaired students in Rajasthan. A descriptive survey design is proposed involving visually impaired students enrolled in secondary, senior secondary, and higher education institutions. The study focuses on three major variables: social support, psychological well-being, and self-efficacy. It is hypothesized that psychological well-being strengthens the positive relationship between social support and self-efficacy. The findings are expected to provide insights for educators, counselors, and policymakers in developing supportive educational environments that promote confidence, resilience, and academic success among visually impaired students.
