Abstract

This study explores the psychological perspectives of students with intellectual disability during their transition from school to higher education in Haryana. Using a descriptive survey method, data were collected from 80 students with intellectual disability. The study examined psychological adjustment, self-efficacy, family support, and transition-related challenges. Findings revealed that most students experienced moderate levels of adjustment and confidence, while family support played a significant role in facilitating successful transition. Challenges such as anxiety, social adaptation difficulties, and limited institutional support were also identified. The study highlights the need for effective transition planning and inclusive support services.
