The article identifies short-term interruptions and long-term patterns in tourist behaviour using statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and foreign agencies. The report also examines how government policy, security, and marketing have revived and reshaped India's tourism business. The data imply that strategic positioning and diversity of tourism services helped India recover and boost foreign tourist arrivals after an initial dip.
