Jeeva Assistant Professor of Political Science The Central Law College Salem 08 Abstract The European Union (EU) is the largest multilateral donor/purveyor of development cooperation assistance and accounts for well over half of international aid transferred from the developed to the developing world. The major aims of the European Development Cooperation Policy (DCP) are said to be fighting underdevelopment, improving international distribution of wealth and enhancing global distributive justice and they have become core issues in the Union’s effort to build a more just, harmonious, peaceful and principled world order. The present paper aims to study and analyze the Major Issues in the framework of European DCP.
