Application of Koha integrated Library Management System in Academic Libraries

Abstract

The present article is being highlights an attribute of Koha Open-Source Library Management Software along with its considerable attributes. Koha is the world's first free and open-source Integrated Library System (ILS) developed by Katipo Communications in 1999. In the recent time it available different 26 languages world-wide. It is one of the webs based one used by many public, school and academic libraries world-wide to manage the versatile library collection. Technically Linux server is needed, Apache, MariaDB or MySQL, Perl is needed for installation. As on today the Koha community was released Koha 22.11.27 version. It having the multiple kind of modules that can assist to the library management such as Acquisition module, Cataloguing module, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) module, Serial Control module, Circulation module, Patron Management module, OPAC module, Report module, and Tools module etc.
