Timetable scheduling in educational institutions is a challenging and time-consuming task. It involves managing several factors, including faculty availability, classroom resources, subject requirements, and institutional rules. Traditional manual and rule-based scheduling methods are often inefficient, prone to errors, and lack flexibility when changes happen. With the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart optimization techniques can be effectively used to automate and improve the timetable generation process. This paper presents an AI-based approach for automatically generating college timetables using optimization algorithms, such as genetic algorithms and constraint-based modeling. The proposed system aims to create conflict-free, optimized, and flexible timetables while significantly reducing human effort. By utilizing AI, institutions can enhance scheduling accuracy, optimize resource utilization, and respond promptly to evolving academic needs.
