Abstract

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a debilitating vascular condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It occurs when the arteries that supply blood to the extremities, typically the legs, become narrowed or blocked by the buildup of fatty deposits known as atherosclerosis. This reduction in blood flow can lead to a host of painful and disabling symptoms, making even the simplest of tasks an uphill battle for those afflicted. Buerger's Exercise, named after Dr. Leo Buerger, is emerging as a promising non-invasive intervention in the management of PAD.
