Author Name P. PRAVEEN KUMAR, D.MANIKANTA, G.ANIL,K.LILINA,M.SAI KIRAN Abstract Steel bridge design and analysis are integral parts of modern infrastructure development. This research paper is concerned with the use of STAAD Pro, one of the most widely used structural analysis and design software, to determine the performance of a steel bridge under different loading conditions. The project will involve conceptualization, modeling, analysis, and optimization of a steel bridge structure to ensure safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
The primary objective is to design a bridge that satisfies the most relevant design codes and standards with excellent structural integrity under dynamic loads and static loads. While analyzing, several factors such as material properties, load combinations or dead load, live load, wind load, and seismic forces, along with boundary conditions, are incorporated. STAAD Pro is used to generate a 3D model of the bridge, analyse stresses distribution, deflections, and many other structural responses, and optimize for material efficiency.
The results will help understand the performance of a steel bridge and indicate points with high stress concentration and failure potential. The demonstration shows the application of STAAD Pro and its benefits to precise, efficient design work. The findings contribute to advancing sustainable and reliable practices in bridge engineering.
