The rapid development of digital technologies has transformed educational practices and created new opportunities for English language teaching and learning. Digital tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), mobile applications, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual classrooms, social media, multimedia resources, digital assessment platforms, and interactive language-learning applications have significantly influenced the methods used by English language teachers. These technologies facilitate personalized learning, improve learner engagement, support communication, and provide immediate feedback. They also enable learners to access authentic English-language materials beyond the traditional classroom environment. However, the integration of technology introduces challenges related to digital literacy, accessibility, privacy, technological infrastructure, teacher preparedness, and excessive dependence on automated tools. This paper examines the impact of digital technologies on English language teaching, focusing on their influence on the development of listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills. The study also discusses the changing role of teachers, pedagogical opportunities, challenges, and strategies for effective technology integration. The paper argues that digital technologies can enhance English language education when they are integrated with appropriate pedagogical principles rather than being treated merely as technological replacements for traditional teaching methods.
