With the introduction of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and technological advancements, the future of teacher education in India stands at a pivotal juncture. This paper examines the historical trajectory, current challenges, and future opportunities in teacher education. Through a detailed analysis of policy frameworks, technological integration, and global practices, it provides recommendations for empowering educators and creating a sustainable model for teacher education in India.
