Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) is one of the most transformative technologies in modern computing, enabling machines to create original content such as text, images, audio, videos, software code, and 3D models. Unlike traditional AI systems that classify or predict based on existing data, Generative AI learns patterns from large datasets and generates new content that closely resembles human creativity. The emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), and Diffusion Models has significantly improved the quality and accuracy of AI-generated outputs.
These technologies are widely applied in education, healthcare, finance, software engineering, entertainment, marketing, and scientific research. Despite its remarkable capabilities, Generative AI faces challenges including hallucinations, copyright issues, bias, privacy concerns, and ethical risks. This paper presents a comprehensive study of Generative AI, including its architecture, methodology, applications, advantages, challenges, and future research directions. The study concludes that Generative AI has enormous potential to revolutionize digital transformation while emphasizing the need for responsible and ethical AI development.
